Debbie is the owner of PhysioWorks NI. She is a Chartered Physiotherapist, Pilates Instructor and AIM Practitioner. She has always been passionate about sport, fitness, health and wellbeing.

Over the last 30 years, Debbie has had great success treating clients by combining hands-on treatment with tailored rehabilitation programmes.

David began his Physiotherapy career working in England before joining PhysioWorksNI in April 2013. David  is an Ex Professional Footballer, starting his career in England and then playing with Irish League clubs such as Crusaders, Carrick Rangers and St Patricks Athletic.

“I work with a wide range of clients, of all ages and activity levels daily. My aim is simple, to quickly diagnose the root cause of a condition, reduce the symptoms, formulate a bespoke rehabilitation program for each individual and improve their quality of life or return to activity.”

Shannon graduated in 2018 with a degree in physiotherapy from Ulster University. Since then, she has worked in a variety of hospital settings, the private sector and with elite sports teams.

As well as working here at PhysioWorksNI, Shannon currently works in the NHS alongside orthopaedic consultants in the RVH fracture clinic, gaining expertise in a variety of conditions and the treatments of these.

Outside work Shannon leads an active life playing badminton, running, swimming and doing regular Pilates.

Currently she is studying for a Masters degree from the University of Cardiff specialising in sport physiotherapy and trauma.

Shannon works with her patients in order to diagnose and create a bespoke rehabilitation program to return patients to their full potential.

Mark graduated from the University of Ulster in 2018 and has worked as a physiotherapist across the Southern and Belfast trust since then in a range of areas including geriatric care, MSK and respiratory.

With 2 years experience in private clinics, Mark has learnt to specialise in the treatment of a range of sports and musculoskeletal issues. Using a blended approach of manual therapy and soft tissue work with a tailor made treatment plan to help people rectify injuries and long term conditions.

Mark has a particular interest in working with people regarding long term conditions and helping them improve their quality of life and their day to day function.

Carmel graduated from Northumbria University in 2018. Since then she has gained valuable experience working across a wide variety of areas in the NHS including musculoskeletal and orthopaedics.

Alongside working in PhysioWorksNI she continues to work as a Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist in the NHS where she treats people of all ages with a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions on a daily basis.

Carmel especially enjoys facilitating a safe return to sport and normal activities for patients and has a special interest in the treatment of upper and lower limb conditions. Carmel continues to further her education and has recently completed a Masters level module in the Management of Upper Limb Conditions in Advancing Practice at the Ulster University.

In her spare time Carmel enjoys playing Gaelic football, attending CrossFit classes and running alongside Yoga.

Julia has been practicing Pilates for 8 years and began teaching after gaining her Mat qualifications in London where she used to live.
Julia studied at Drama college and Pilates was a huge part of her movement training, it was here she fell in love with Pilates even more. She enjoys different forms of Pilates, both traditional and modern and truly believes it is suitable for everyone, whatever the level, and is one of the best ways to stay connected to your body and feel strong.

Nion started Pilates in 2009 and was fascinated by the Pilates method and the benefits gained from practicing Pilates. In 2013 she started her training journey as an instructor qualifying in 2015 as a BASI® Comprehensive Pilates Teacher. She has trained in Japan, USA and UK. She is passionate in sharing those benefits with other people for a happier and healthier lifestyle. Nion has been teaching Pilates for the past 10 years in Tokyo, in English, Japanese and Thai and recently moved to Northern Ireland with her husband. She also enjoys yoga, SUP, snowboarding, hiking, watching movies and travel.

Specialising in Rehabilitation, Postural correction, Pilates Matwork and Equipment and Post Natal, Sports Massage, Dry Needling, Shoulder Injuries and Core Conditioning. Jayne’s background was as a professional contemporary dancer before moving into health and wellbeing practice. Jayne worked for 4 years in Saudi Arabia as a Pre and Post Natal Personal Trainer, STOTT Pilates Instructor and Sports Massage Therapist before returning to Northern Ireland to continue her practice.

Jayne’s backround is as a professional dancer before moving into health and wellbeing practices. She has a degree in Dance and Movement studies as well as BTh Honors degree in Theology and Literature. She is passionate about optimising each individual’s body potential, helping her clients to recover from injury and life stress, to help the client understand their body and create the best version of themselves. Jayne loves all things acrobatic. In her spare time she loves to practice inversions and learn new skills like aerial hoop.

Carolyn is a seasoned Practice Manager with over a decade of experience in the field of healthcare administration. She has been an integral part of the PhysioWorksNI team for over 12 years.

Carolyn oversees the day-to-day operations of the clinic, ensuring smooth workflows, efficient scheduling, and optimal resource allocation.  Carolyn is adept at managing budgets, financial reporting, and billing processes, she fosters a positive work environment and her empathetic approach ensures a harmonious workplace for all.

Carolyn ensures compliance with industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and best practices, contributing to the clinic’s reputation for outstanding care.

Dorina Joined the PhysioWorksNI team in August 2020.

Matthew has a background in Biomedical Science with a Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Microbiology. Currently he works as a Physician Associate in the Medical Assessment Unit in the Ulster Hospital.

Playing rugby for over 16years, with several appearances at international level, he is full of experience when it comes to injuries. Be they big or small, he is aware of how debilitating these may be when attempting to return to sport or even with everyday life.

Matthew has completed courses in Sports massage, Dry Cupping, Medical Acupuncture and IASTM to help others get back to fighting fit.

Gillian has been practicing Reflexology since 1998 and has been a Registered Midwife since 1990.

Gillian trained with The Association of Reflexologists (AoR) and qualified with a Diploma in 1998. She has been practising professionally since 2002 and privately since 2015. Gillian believes that everyone can benefit from Reflexology, which decongests energy pathways restoring balance in the body and mind. She also works as a Midwife and in her spare time enjoys Pilates, walking her dog and baking.

Julie-Anne is a practitioner and advocate for Intuitive and Integrate holisitic wellness, with a wide array of experience that supports mental health and physical recovery.

The primary aim of the Belfast Chen Style Tai Chi School is to integrate complimentary and oriental medicine with the principles and philosophy originally taught by Grand Master Chen Xiao Wang.
